Week of Prayer: January 11-17

We're being intentional about prayer and fasting at the beginning of the year because we want UPBC to have a greater capacity to enjoy God, that we would be made more reliant, and that we would appreciate the work of Christ Jesus who shed his blood for sinners. John Owen once said that “friendship with Christ is most maintained and kept up by visits. And these the more free and less occasioned by urgent business.” So, let's take this week as our opportunity to strengthen that friendship by way of going to the Lord in prayer and fasting. Feel free to put your name down for an hour (or a few) of personal prayer throughout the week by CLICKING HERE.

DNOW 2026

  • Overview: Sign-ups are open for D-Now 2026! The theme this year will be Evangelism. Open to all 6th-12th graders. More details to come!

How to Study the Bible

  • Overview: Join us on Wednesday nights as we look at the COMA method (context, observation, meaning, application) for studying Scripture.

  • Date & Time:  Wednesdays, Starting January 21 at 7 PM

Starting Point

  • Overview: Interested in membership at UPBC? Join us for our next Starting Point class. It is a Friday and Saturday class that covers what we believe and how we live together as a church.

The Missions Course

  • Overview: “The Missions Course is a six-lesson course designed to help introduce your church to the Great Commission. It was created in the local church for the local church to be a trusted resource. Think of it as Missions 101.”
